TheJudyGarlandShowisanAmericanmusicalvarietytelevisionseries.TheshowairedonCBSduringthe1963-1964televisionseason.DespiteasometimesstormyrelationshipwithJudyGarland,CBShadfoundsuccesswithseveraltelevisionspecialsfeaturingthestar.Garland,whoforyearshadbeenreluctanttocommittoaweeklyseries,sawtheshowasherbestchancetopullherselfoutofseverefinancialdifficulties.　　Productiondifficultiesbesettheseriesalmostfromthebeginning.Theserieswouldseethreedifferentproducersinthecourseofits26episodesandwouldgothroughanumberofotherkeypersonnelchanges.Withthechangeinproducerswouldalsocomechangestotheformatoftheshow,whichstartedascomedy/varietybutwouldswitchtoanalmostpurelyconcertformat.　　WhileGarlandherselfwaspopularwithcritics,theinitialvarietyformatandherco-star,JerryVanDyke,werenot.TheshowwasupagainstBonanza,thenthefourthmostpopularprogramontelevision,andconsistentlyperformedpoorlyintheratingsincomparison.Althoughfansralliedinanattempttosavetheseries,CBSannounceditscancellationafterasingleseason.SubsequentattemptsbyCBStomakeadentin"Bonanza"withvarietyshowshostedbyGarryMoore,SteveLawrenceandLeslieUggamsallfailed,andwerecanceledmorequicklythanGarland's.
